Extract of sample "Statistics"

The performance of 52 banks on their revenue, profits and number of employees was evaluated by analyzing the data. Bank Ten is above average in terms of all three parameters. The revenue of Bank Ten was $19,875,000, which is ~ 3 times the average revenue of all the banks. Similarly, the profit of Bank Ten at $2,065,000 is ~2.5 times the average profit of all the banks. Number of employees of Bank Ten (50,046) is approximately 2.3 times the average number of employees in all the 52 banks. When these variables are converted to z-value, different banks can be compared to the average for each variable. Z-Revenue is higher for Citicorp 3.

69 and lower for First Natl of Nebraska. Z-profit is highest for Chase Manhattan Bank 3.23 and lower for First Natl of Nebraska. Summarize all these results; it can be said that only four banks has higher Revenue and Profit that BankTen:After comparing the Z-employee it can be said that fifth bank has the highest Z-employee than that of Bank Ten. Morgan & Co., Bank of New York Co and Republic New York Co. are the top three firms with respect to profit per employee and Barnett Banks is the bank with the lowest profit per employee. Afterwards the 25th and 75th percentile for profits per employee were also identified. The results are following:The 25th percentile is $0.027.The 75th percentile is $0.042.The percentile score of BankTen is 0.0727.Although BankTen is not one of the top performers, it has an average performance (with 72.
